Indianapolis man who goes by the name Sean Da Don was shot and killed by Indianapolis police yesterday while he was on facebook live.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say they first noticed Sean Da Don, real name Sean Reed, speeding and driving recklessly on Interstate 65, and they tried to pull him over.
But officers say that the rapper didn’t stop. Instead, he pulled out his camera and started live streaming the police car chase.
After police pursued the vehicle off an exit ramp for about 15 minutes, Sean Da Don hopped out of his car and fled on foot as officers shouted at him to stop, the department said.
When a cop attempted to fire a taser during the foot pursuit, police say that Sean Da Don brandished a firearm and exchanged fire with the officers. He was shot and killed by officers around 6:15 p.m., police said.
Hundreds of people took to the streets to protest the shooting, including members of Sean Reed’s family.
